 Grateful Hearts

You are invited to join my revised Facebook group page, Grateful Hearts.

Life is all about connecting and giving thanks. The purpose of this page is to express gratitude for the good we have been given that is all around us. To share insights on how to come from the heart with gratitude and peace while praising my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Did You Know...giving thanks is good for your overall health and wellness. Not only does it boost brain capacity, but it also provides an increased sense of well-being. As you practice gratitude, anxiety and depression risks decrease, freeing up your ability to focus on the most important memories and loved ones. Gratitude can also affect the brain by releasing more positive neurotransmitters and lessening the stress hormone.

Gratitude Post: Freedom Calls us Forth

I give thanks to our founding fathers who fought for our freedom with great courage. Guided by our Father God, these passionate and courageous dreamers kept the call for freedom in their hearts and minds as they took necessary steps without fear or intimidation. Their commitment to establishing a nation free of tyranny and domination came at a great cost. Still today on Lexington Green a sacred monument bears the inscriptions of these patriotic fighters.

Sacred to liberty and the rights of mankind!!!
The freedom and independence of America
Sealed and defended with the blood of her sons.

We too are challenged to carry forward the freedom call, to fight for what we know is right, even though we deal with the same unbearable odds and impossible situations.
Two hundred and fifty (250) years and strong, may freedom ring in this land today and always.

“Give me liberty or give me death,” Patrick Henry, Second Virginia Convention, March 23, 1775, St. John’s Church, Richmond, Virginia.

Gratitude Post: God Bless America, Land of the Free

Father God, as we celebrate this Fourth of July we give thanks for the spirit of patriotism that shines brightly across our Christian nation. Whenever Americans face a crisis it is a beautiful site to see how we help each other. Each person adds an important piece to the tapestry, and unite in respect and dignity as we celebrate our freedoms.

Likewise, we give heartfelt thanks to the men and women who serve our nation in military service, and to their families who sacrifice along with them. For the inner strength they've demonstrate in the face of adversity, the blood, sweat, and tears they shed for American freedoms we so often take for granted. For the many holidays they miss, the anxious nights they face, the wounds they suffer, some lasting much longer than their years of service. We owe a debt of gratitude to these brave men and women who serve with patriotism blazing in their hearts.

Most of all, we thank you Father God, for blessing our nation with men and women of faith, courage, devotion, and strength, who speak truth in spite of obstacles. Because of this and so much more, we stand tall. May this same freedom reign in America forever as one nation under God.

Psalm 33:12 “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.”
